RSE

RSE and RSHE that is centred around the teachings of Christ

As far as we are concerned, academic knowledge is not the end goal of a child’s time at school. We believe that the educational process should deliver on more than just one outcome. Our passion comes from building a person, not creating an academic. Catholic education, in all its beauty, is a one-of-a-kind learning experience or at least it should be.

A Fertile Heart was created in the belief that nurturing the entire person, through mind, body, and spirit, is necessary for a happy, healthy, and balanced life. And we’re sure you would agree.

Put simply, education that is centred around the teachings of Christ is unquestionably unique. It provides an opportunity to not only enhance knowledge but explore passions, create community, strengthen the sense of self and come to know God better (all in one place) and in unison with the home and family.

We are pleased to let you know that our school has adopted the programme, Life to
the Full, produced by the Catholic educational organisation, Ten Ten Resources, to
deliver our RSE lessons alongside “The Fertile Heart”

The Life to the Full programme is based on the structure of ‘A Model Catholic RSE
Curriculum’ by the Catholic Education Service. This model curriculum was
highlighted as a work of good practice by the Department of Education so we
therefore have confidence that the programme will be fit for purpose in supporting
the growth and development of your child.
Life to the Full is much more than a series of lessons. It is an entire platform of
creative resources that will engage, inform and inspire our children and, indeed, you
as parents. This includes interactive video content, story-based activities, employing
a wide range of teaching tools, original worship music and an accompanying
programme of classroom prayers.
In addition there is an online parent platform so that you, as parents and carers, can
engage with the teaching and deepen the experience for your child. To access the
online parent platform please visit:
